Activities
We are passionate about where we live and know we are very fortunate to be here. Ledbury and the surrounding areas have so much to offer. Whether you like an active holiday or prefer a slower pace of life, there is plenty to do in the local area.
Here are just a few of the attractions:
As well as being close to the lovely market town of Ledbury, The Corn Mill is only 20 minutes drive from the spa town of Malvern and the excellent walking found on the Malvern Hills www.malverntrail.co.uk. Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Hills, Malvern Theatre is one of the country's leading regional arts centres. Click here to view the extensive film and theatre programme www.malvern-theatres.co.uk.
Herefordshire is well known for its cider apple orchards with two cider producers here in Ledbury. Westons Cider has a visitor center and is well worth a visit www.westons-cider.co.uk.
Helens at Much Marcle is a 13 century house with Tudor and Stuart additions. Visit www.helensmanor.com for more information.
We are also very fortunate to have Eastnor Castle with its deer park, arboretum and lake on our doorstep www.eastnorcastle.com.
Visit www.herefordcathedral.org with its award winning Mappa Mundi and Chained Library exhibition.
The spectactular gardens at Hampton Court are a 30 minute drive away. Open from Friday 10th April - Saturday 31st October. The castle stands on the meadows of the River Lugg and has 12 acres of lavish gardens. Children will love the maze with a gothic tower at the centre and the underground tunnel that leads to a waterfall in the sunken garden www.hamptoncourt.org.uk.
