Access statement
The Corn Mill is a two-storey converted grain store with front access. At this time we cannot offer our mobility-impaired guests total access to our cottage, as we would wish.
On arrival, we are happy to give you a conducted tour of the cottage, pointing out possible hazards.
The information given may help in your decision to stay with us.
Arrival and car parking facilities.
The property is signposted off the road; a gravelled drive with turning space leads up to the car parking area, which is on level concrete.
Outside light operated by movement sensor in parking area.
Route to low walled terrace approx: 5 meters.
115cms wide opening in low wall to a flagstone and gravel path, 7 meters to porch.
Exterior lighting can be turned on/off at switch at bottom of granary steps and on/off inside cottage.
Main Entrance
One step up 5cms to flagstone porch, with doormat. Outside lights for porch operated by time switch.
Front door(110cms wide and side hung to the right).
Threashold strip 12cms wide with 5cm step into hall.
Door mat with slight lip.
Seat and coat hanging space to left of front door.
Hallway level and spacious (1.8m x 2m) narrowing to passage 90cms wide with stone flooring.
Ground floor accommodation with wide doors (80cms) to all areas.
Step up into all ground floor rooms 3cms.
Staircase 78cms wide from hall carpeted with handrail.
Living area
The staircase leads to the first floor, open plan living area.
Spacious with ample natural lighting, additional task lighting is provided as required.
Sitting and dining area fully carpeted with rug under dining table and rug at sitting room end.
2 two seater sofas (45cms) high.
TV with freeview and remote control sitting on table 72cms high.
DVD player and CD player/radio.
Pendant lighting, standard lamp in sitting area + downlighters for task lighting.
Dining table is rectangular 72cms high with 4 chairs with padded cushions (no arms). 1 extra chair available.

Open plan kitchen.

Fridge, freezer, dishwasher, oven (with drop down door) below work tops.

Front loading washing machine on ground floor in airing cupboard (door 67cms wide).
Washing line in car parking area, clothes airier in airing cupboard.
Bedrooms
There are 2 ground floor bedrooms.
The red room has zip link beds (king size or two single 2'6" beds).
Fully carpeted with door to hall 80cms wide and threshold strip 9cms wide with 3cms step down to hall.
Pendant lighting with reading lamps by bed.
Two fitted wardrobes 2m high, 75cms wide with hanging rail, shelf and drawer.
The master bedroom has a kingsize bed.
